i need to have some ready to use clay, cone doesn't matter, it won't be
fired-for a workshop in chicago. Does anyone know a clay company or studio
that will ups or deliver it to cicero? thanks. shelley

Shelley, while they're not located in Chicago, Great Lakes Clay in
Carpentersville (~50 miles away) will ship via UPS.

That's all that's left now; you'd think a place like Chicago would have
more. We used to have Tucker through Shimpo in Itasca but they decided it
was too much trouble apparently and ART in Elk Grove but they deserted us

They are convenient and easy-going....the city distributers of days past
(ie:Robbins Clay Co., Midwest Clay Co, Metro Ceramic Supply, A.R.T.) have all
dearly departed, the latter over the state line presumably for tax reasons.
Also Great Lakes Clay in Carpentersville is good, a hour schlep, but
sometimes you just gotta have it :)
