I want to thank all of those who wrote me regarding my situation at school.
I appreciate all the advice given and it seems to have the general consensus
of sit back, do my work and maintain some damage control without embarassing
the guy.
It's a bitter pill to swallow, as I am more of a doer than a watcher, but
listening to all the advice, it seems the thing to do. Fortunately I have
not yet made the mistake of going behind his back and complaining to his
superiors. The fiber blanket situation was mentioned to his boss as an aside
concern about temp rating mentioned in passing.
So , much as I hate to do it, I will sit back and just do my work. I only
have a year left, hopefully all will be well until I leave.
Thanks again for the advice,
Chris Clyburn

I think that you'll find that being a 'watcher' in this case will make you a
'doer' in the long run. I do agree with the poster that you should not ignore
things you know to be serious safety/fire hazard issues.
