'e-bay' caution for 'new' items listed on it...

Hey everyone,

Thirty dollar for shipping and handling that's crazy
ha. How many meals can I buy with that :). Sellers
make things seem so good but then WAM hit you the
shipping and handling. High s&h charges have stopped
me from ordering lots of things from the internet in
the past. I admit though sometimes I give in if it's
something i really want :).

Ok yall I really emailed because my sister had this
amazing idea on how to order things from ebay(yes she
has done it before). I think it's a good idea and
maybe some of you all have done it before but I just
had to share because the topic of ebay came up. My
sister would wait till a couple mintues where left on
the clock before the bidding ends then she would bid a
high price(ofcourse what she could afford). That way
he other person can't throw another bid on the table
because the time is almost out (no time to think I
guess) and since she bid a high price then the person
can't do anything. I thought that was good. It works
for her. Hope this helps someone in future bids. Take
care and God bless.....

For those unfamiliar w/ebay, shipping & handling costs ARE indicated in the
auction. If you don't like the s&h, you don't have to bid. Some sellers only
charge actual shipping cost, others charge handling fees. If it's not spelled
out, you can always ask the seller. It should never be a "WAM".

That really depends on the item. I thought a wheel was being discussed & $30
seems very reasonable to ship a wheel.

It's called 'sniping'. It's very common. The best of the best do it with
multiple windows open & only seconds left. Though I don't consider myself one
of the best, I did successfully snipe a statue I've been wanting for years with
only 30 seconds left. Totally made my day :-)
