Hi - I am attending the Ian Currie workshop in NM next week. I am hoping to
find a ceramic supplier near to El Paso, Texas, or Las Cruces, New Mexico so
that I won't have to bring all my supplies back & forth from Massachusetts
on the airplane. I googled, but only came up with retail stores &
construction suppliers. Most of the ceramic/pottery supply hits were for web
sites and not actual stores. Thanks in advance for the help!-Kathy

Hi Kathy,
That's a tough one. I used to live in Santa Fe and
Albuquerque and the only ceramic suppliers in NM that
I am aware of are Santa Fe Clay, New Mexico Clay and
Clay King. These are actual retail stores and ceramic
suppliers. That's a long drive from Las Cruces to
Albuquerque but these businesses do ship and/or
deliver.
When I worked at Santa Fe Clay, Avra shipped all
over Texas, New Mexico and Colorado because there are
not a lot of suppliers. You can find their websites
online and contact the companies. It would still be
less expensive than shipping from Mass. or hauling
clay on the airplane. At the very least bring a
shovel and start digging, I processed thousand of
pounds of great native earthenware and stoneware in
New Mexico.
Best of luck,
Trish

New Mexico Clay, 1-800-781-2529, 3300 Girard, access from Candelaria, if you
are coming from San Mateo (street or ave), turn right on Candelaria, right
on Girard. Staff is nice, clay is great, love their Anazasi cone 10., have
bought there since 1987.
