I used to work for Red Wing Pottery in Red Wing Minnesota (not to be =
confused with Red Wing Stonewarem they are 2 different companies). You =
might try calling down there. Another option would be Rowe Pottery in =
Cambridge Wis.

Kasia, you can find beautiful salt glazed stoneware crocks ranging in colors
from cream to light tan to brown at Greenfield Village in Dearborn,
Michigan. Various sizes are available. Some of the salt fired crocks are
decorated with traditional cobalt slip trailed designs and some have no slip
decorations but are accented with decorative borders. The crocks are thrown
on the wheel and hand decorated by a team of highly skilled
potters/decorators who work at the Greenfield Village Pottery Shop, where an
average of 10,000 pieces of early American redware and salt fired stoneware
are currently produced and sold each year (including over 250 different
forms, with crocks being just one of the forms).

Most of the pottery made at Greenfield Village is sold on site at the
Village and Museum gift shops though...at this point the website has only
minimal representation of the pottery available for sale and online ordering
capabilities are still extremely limited...though you can contact the retail
shop via email ( shop@TheHenryFord.org
) or by phone (313.982.6140) to place an
order and to acquire additional information on product pricing,
availability, etc. Also, if you are interested you can learn more about the
pottery shop itself at the following web address:
http://www.hfmgv.org/village/libertycraftworks/pottery/default.asp.

Hope that helps!

Dorie Mickelson in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where I am enjoying the gorgeous
Fall weather, and where I am about half way through my one year
apprenticeship at the Greenfield Village Pottery Shop (and loving every
minute of it!)
