Dear Shaw Pottery -
First, please sign your posts with a name. Second, let me play devil's
advocate here. Why in the world would you want to purchase carved wood
blocks, brayers, and roulettes that have someone else's designs on them?
Why don't you make your own? You can easily make them in clay and
bisque-fire them, and they will work better than the wood ones.

I know that there are people out there making a living selling stamps and
rollers, and I certainly do not begrudge them that, but I just do not
understand why any creative person would not just make their own stamps and
rollers in order to increase the level of individuality in their work.

Stanley Hurst, Mecca Pottery Tools,
shurst@hiwaay.net. He was at NCECA, he had quite
a few texture rollers, carved wood stamps,
paddles, and the like. He makes a wooden
roulette holder and interchangeable roulettes.

Usual disclaimers apply. Just a happy user.

Does anyone have a source for carved wood blocks, brayers, roulettes, etc?

I have been looking for a long time. Michaels used to carry such
items, but no longer.

Thanks!

I have bought several wood print blocks on E-bay. They are pricey but in
addition to using them for texture in clay, I have them hanging on my kitchen
wall as decoration.
Good luck.

My wife and I certainly thank you for your information. Thanks to the
others that posted, also.
