Greetings. There are 28 artists represented in the calendar this year, and
the work is really great! As I was listing all the featured artists, there
were so many I had to use smaller fonts and expanded space and STILL didn't
have enough room.

What to do, what to do? Well, in years past, I have listed the artists'
full addresses with phone and email information. This year, I just don't
have that kind of room, and additionally, I was informed by one of the
artists that listing the full address puts the address out there for creeps
and customers alike to just show up on the doorstep. Not always a good
thing. So, this year, no street addresses, just town and state. I figure
since most people who get the calendar heard about it online, and we all
know each other online, we might be more apt to recognize someone's email
address before we did their name anyway. Any thoughts?

Lisa,

I must admit when I went to my first NCECA this year, that is how I was most recognized when I introduced myself - Shula, purplelama. The recognition seemed to come with my email address rather than my name.

I agree that it is best not to include the home address. But, I must admit, I am usually reluctant to open email from addresses i don't recognize.

I don't have any heartburn with that arrangement. I would really
rather not have my email and phone number out there, although a phone
number is easy enough to find via the internet.

Maybe you could put a small blurb in to the effect that if someone is
interested in a piece or other work by the artist, they can contact
you and you will pass it on. Then the artists who want or don't want
to have referrals can tell you up front. That is, if you would want
to take that on.

Fully understand and agree with limiting the info shown because of space
availability issues. Town and State works for me, however maybe including
Country for those of us not in the USA that have been lucky enough to be
selected? ;-)

Cheers,
Graham

Graham, due to space considerations, and the fact that I didn't want to =
neglect the cover credit (again - don't go there,) I had to ditch the =
street addresses AND telephone numbers. So, it's name, city, state or =
country, and email address for the 28 potters whose work is appearing =
this year. This is the most I've ever had before, and it's very =
exciting. Some excellent work represented as well. :)
