For guilds, you might check out the Carolina Clay Guild (
http://www.carolinaclayguild.com). The group is based in Greensboro, NC,
but has members from all over the place, and holds workshops too.

For workshops (relatively) near SC, keep an eye on Elizabeth Priddy's web
page. She is hosting the June Potter's Council Workshop, with Dan Finch and
Clayart's own Lois Sharpe as two of the several presenters. Dan almost
NEVER does workshops outside his own place, so this is something you won't
want to miss. Check Elizabeth's page http://www.elizabethpriddy.com for a
link to registration. Spaces are limited and going fast, so get with it! :)

In addition, Elizabeth is going to hold workshops at least quarterly,
possibly more often, at her studio in Beaufort, so bookmark the page and
check back for schedule. Beaufort is at the beach, so you can bring your
family and they can get sun while you soak up clay learnin'. ;)
